Cross Country Teams Start the Season Strong

August 21, 2017

The Cypress Christian Cross Country teams started another amazing season with a race at The Willow Waterhole hosted by Incarnate Word Academy. It was a very difficult race course filled with two hills to climb, a downhill and two narrow bridges to navigate and it was also nearly 100 degrees, which added to the tough race conditions. The high school and middle school teams ran hard and will hit the ground running again today as they prepare for the popular Friday Night Lights Cross Country Invitational next Friday evening at Bear Branch Park in The Woodlands.

High school runners Landen Overton, Garrett Velez, Ben Bezner and middle school runner Mason Runge all ran personal best times on Saturday.
